HWY 17 Closure

Hwy 17 has a jackknifed big rig that has shut down the entire highway by "Redwood Estates".

Try to find a different way...

Major Problem Santa Cruz Mountains IN BOTH DIRECTIONS 17 AT REDWOOD ESTATES ... ALL LANES CLOSED DUE TO: DOWNED POWER LINES THAT SPARKED AN EARLIER VEHICLE FIRE .. SB TRAFFIC BEING DIVERTED AT BEAR CREEK & TURNED BACK AT IDYLWILD ... NB JAMMED FROM THE WELL BEFORE THE SUMMIT (WHERE TRAFFIC IS BEING TAKEN OFF) ... Updated at 8:04 AM

Yeah my lady called me and told me she heard like a big explosion/boom, and then all kinds of sirens. Then the CDF plane started circling overhead. So she was thinking fire. Thank god its only a big rig crash.

Everytime we hear sirens at home we instatly look up into the sky for smoke. Even though it is nice and peaceful up in the boondocks, if there is a fire we are pretty much fuqed.

Fire = Total loss of all of my stuff

I passed by minutes before it happened. Luckily I got passed before the truck spilled.

Anyone know if its cleared up yet?
