Question: How do you know if you had a good day at the race track? Answer: If when you get home you have a message on your answering machine from your credit card company asking if you really bought that much gas in one day. I got home from Thunderhill Thursday evening and had the message on my machine. I called them back and told them they were all legit. 1st stop for gas to get up there, 2nd stop top off in Willows before heading to the track, 3rd stop at track after three 20 minute sessions, 4th stop after the next three 20 minute sessions. 5th stop to put some in to make the 7th session and the free for all at the end of the day. 6th stop to get home. And it still beat going to work. Hope everyone had a great day on Friday at Thunderhill

The best lap I had was a 2:15.04 at the end of the day when most of the track was in the shade, and no traffic what so ever. The only mods on my car are brake pads and Toyo RA1's. The front tires looked terrible at the end of the day, but I was turning my fastest laps. Nothing like a cool and empty track. Hope everyone on Friday had as good a time. I think we only had four subies on Thursday. I had to get gas after three sessions because I think I had a pick up problem. It seems like as soon as my tank got down to 1/4 tank it would have a hesitate for just a second coming down the main straight. I guess all the fuel being thrown to the left side of the car through turns 14 and 15 was the problem. I put in more gas and no more hesitation.

Definately a Good Day!
That must have been you in the stock looking WRB STi. Good times for just pads & tires. I think I may have just pulled off before you, I was in the paddock and saw a lone STi still out there. I was just going to go back out when they said we were done. I was the little Black RS

Adam, I know your little black RS, but I don't think that was me you saw. I was running on Thursday with NASA and all of you guys were probably up there on Friday with Unlimited laps. Unfortunatly my front tires didn't have another day on them or I would have stayed up and ran again on Friday with the subie crowd. It doesn't get any better than a clear day with low 70's for running on the track.

Thanks for the camber tip. I just had it aligned and all they could get stock was -1.2 up front and -1.8 in the rear. I have some camber plates on order and hope to install them soon. I only got three track days and 2,500 street miles out of the fronts.

The total gas bill for the day was $152. That was $30 to get to the track and home, 22 gallons at the track at $3.95 for 92 octane, and 12 gallons in Willows at $2.85. IT STILL BEATS GOING TO WORK.
