Thunderhill was awesome! Had a good time sliding around
Definitely want to do that again!

the drive was long though but for some reason I didn't feel sleepy or tired
I stopped at the black bear diner before going home.

gotblue CDs are ALL pictures of your car. It's the best deal.

Heh... you must have been on an emotional high too.

And you're probably in your 20's.

Id love to go in Dec, but my last trip there in early Oct confirmed i have engine issues (heads lifting under sustained high boost) so i'm done with tracking until i get the engine sorted out.
Pity, because Dito's new camera is taking awesome photos, much sharper than last years...

how reliable would you say your car has been? i swear all the track days i go to I see at least one subaru experiencing problems(spun bearing, blown ringland, heads lifting)

Very reliable, considering how hard i'm pushing the stock motor
~38k miles total, last 2 years have been mostly on E85 tune (24psi peak) with 6 trackdays total. Daily driven, and i like to get into boost when the engine is warmed up, its not super babied.
Prior the the E85 tune i was ~ 1year on a GST Stg1 tune (19.5psi peak), and before that was ~ 2 years on Cobb OTS Stg1 tune.
With all that i think it did great, it consumes no oil & runs great, but mine might be an exception to the rule.

Track days are where people realize just how crappy their "awesome tune" by the "awesome tuning shop" really is.

If you're stock, its more reliable. Plus, unless you're really trying to wring your car for fastest lap times, then there's no need to be red lining all the time. Don't run rcomps either. Get good on street tires.

This is why you see a lot of instructors running beaters. It's all about the driver and making THAT good. Unless you're rich and you need to make the driver good in a particular car.
