How Strict is Infineon and Sac Raceway?

If I try to run at Infineon or Sac raceway without a muufler, what are my chances of passing the tech inspection? Las time I went they didn't really do a thorough check. They just asked me what mods I had.

I don't know if it really matters or not. I'd say leave the muffler hanging there and just unbolt it.

I have a crack in my windshield, does anybody know if they will they let me run at Infineon with the crack? I'm gonna get it fixed, but i'm just curious cause my bro wasn't allowed to autocross his RX7 since he had a crack in his windshield.

But uh to answer your question, i don't think they'll let you run with no muffler. But it depends on who runs down your line inspecting, the guy i had last time was hella **** and checked every nook and cranny on every car, but the line my friend was in the guy just glanced at the car and thats it

I think if you can get an inspection form signed then you can run. I saw some real junk running at Infineon both times I went...One car had a fuel leak (a first gen RX-7) and it had fire underneath it, real scary!

They never checked my car but I would run a straight-thru type if it were me. It would suck to drive all the way up there and be turned away.

From Sacramento Raceway web site, pertaining to Wednesday Night Drags and Test and Tune days:

"All vehicles must be fully muffled street machines.
Mufflers must limit noise to 90 decibels at 50 feet at full throttle."

By the rules, no. A cracked windshield is a safety hazard. You might luck out and get to race but they aren't keen on being held liable in the event of (your) injury.
