yeah, I know SF, and I know "those series of flowing corners" because they're out my front windows!? I don't revel in other people's misfortune, but Sunset, Lake Merced, Skyline is not the touge!? Slow the eff down....I'm tired of getting eyed by the po-po while coming home & minding my own business, especially Fri-Sun, when guys like you are out playing Initial D!!

Yeah, driving an American sports car will help you out. One time driving down 680S right past the Berryessa exit with my friend in his dad's Viper we were flying down the freeway going like 135mph and still accelerating. There apparantly was a cop getting onto the freeway from McKee Road, and he saw us. My friend slowed down and the cop eventually pulled up next to us, it was a CHP. He just looked over, grinned and drove off. I was like "WTF". Haha, that was cool. If we were in a Japanese sports car, we probably would be in some deep ****, European car...I'm not so sure, but most cops leave me alone when I'm speeding down the highway with dark tint and dealership plates on my M5.

Oh man.. A friend of mine called me up late one night as he was heading to T-Hill in his '03 Z06. He could barely talk he was so excited, and had pulled over at a gas station. He said he was bombin along about 90 when he noticed a truck ahead of him that was doing about the same speed, and shouldn't have been - was all over the road and such. Then he noticed a cruiser coming up behind him that slowly pulled up on his right - sorta outta nowhere. He said he knew he was bought/paid for, so he decided to gradually slow down. He said the cop pulled up next to him and the dome light went on - he was rifling around in his car. My friend was like WTF and not sure what to do at this point when the cop holds up this Corvette Club jacket and is all pointing to it like crazy. My friend gave him thumbs up and then the cop sped up and pulled over the truck...

^^I got a $111 j-walking ticket in Westwood while I was at UCLA. I couldn't pay it (because I was broke), and when I finally could it cost me $600. If anyone has a more expensive ticket for a more benign crime, I'd like to hear it*.

*I j-walked across Brockton on Weyburn, a one way intersection where there is NO traffic at 1:30 AM (when I crossed it), just as the walk sign started blinking. The LAPD was waiting in an unmarked, unlit car just across the street. I called BS and got the riot act (including handcuffs and a seat in the back of the car) for J_WALKING!!!

Hmm, its just a decal that has a picture of like two police badges, then it says "Citizen member" and "2005" on the top and bottom. The decal is a sticker that sticks from the inside, so if you got tint then you would have to put it in the front window. I don't got back tint so I display it on the back so the cops can see it before they pull me over...

My friend actually gave me it, since he get's two every year for donating, so i'm not sure 100%-- but I believe it is this organization "http://www.copsmember.com/", but you should check if thier decal is similar to the description above first. All I know is that since putting it on I haven't got harassed since, and I constantly drive 80 mph and weave through traffic when im running late.

sorry to hear about your experience, but when i originally replied about people getting jaywalking tickets, the UCLA/Westwood area was EXACTLY the spot I had in mind. The cops out there are notorious for citing jaywalkers. The are is also one of the worst in LA for parking tickets too!

If you ever get pulled over, never tell a cop that your taxes pay his salary that makes you his boss. Very bad idea, but at least I said it to the biggest ***** cop in the whole area and didn't get a ticket. This was went I use to go to the Fremont, San Jose runs a few years back.

I live near there as well... This was 4 years ago. Ever since then I haven't really driven fast there. I've had my share of bad stuff happen there to be scared of it. I spun my car out and onto the curb and into the grass before. This black WRX tried to chase me this other time, went too hot and spun out into the center divider. That plus all the other people who have crashed their cars there. Plus there are usually cops hidden in the bushes waiting to catch speeders through there.
