How NOT to get pulled over???

Theres always alota guys on the forum talkin bout cops, smog tickets, smog refs, tickets...etc

I thought I'd start this here thread so we can put our heads together...and find out some ways to avoid get pulled over in the first place...

Any ideas comments are welcome:

Paint FMIC black
Paint shiny exhuast black
Switch and install smaller/twin exhuast tips
Avoid the "slammed look"
Avoid the "ghetto chrome look" wheel
The less stickers the better
Stick with delear plate frames
Stick with a front plate
Avoid big body mods (whale tale winds, vented fenders,)
No neons
Turn the bass down
No big gauges
Have a CHP11-99 plate frame

Dont drive like an ***.

Have hawk eyes for cops.

BTW, that last one (CHP11-99 frame) is an expensive one. I wonder if it actually helps though.

window tints a no brainer, if your running darker than 50%, you WILL get popped, sooner or later.

-no tint or don't go overboard on it
-no overly loud exhaust
-dont make it a habit to lane change all crazy
-never speed alone, always be pacing another car if you do.
-get a up to date "citizen member" sticker visible on your back window... it really works.
last time I sped by a cop doing well over 85 when i was late to school and slowed down right next to him, he took a double look at my car then continued on like nothing happened.

another time my friend was doing over 90+ on 280, the cop pulled up right next to him and waved to him and shouted "slow down"...haha, like i said that sticker really works, well worth the $25 investment per year.

- Stay in the middle of a 3 lane highways.
- Stay on the #2 lane from the left on 4 lane highways.

you will DEFINATELY get a ticket for that. You might be able to have one that looks the same but you're name will not be in the database and you will not have the little badge dealy bobber. If they find out it's fake....holy ****...you better have strong butt cheaks. Talk about pissed off.

it's not just some way to get out of tickets. That is a fund to help the widow and orphans of CHP officers killed or injured in the line of duty. It's a quality fun and for those of us with family in law enforcement it makes a lot of sense to give to it...and not just to get out of tickets.

here are my thoughts...

one very simple one. Drive a WAGON!!!!!!!

haaa. I've flown by cops doing like 90mph..nothing. windows tinted..etc. Shoot I was talking to an officer just last night. standing right next to my car. All my windows up except mine. And my perrin exhaust gurgling away. not a word.

I've had my windows tinted 35/20 for the last 8 years or so. Not one ticket. No front plates. Etc.
I used my blinkers. I obey the basic traffic laws. Speed slightly on a regular basis and quite a bit from time to time...like today......oops. Basically...be smart about when and where you do it. Treat other drivers with respect. Etc.

Eventually I'm sure I'll get popped for the plates or the windows...but eh..it's the risk we take.

Basically...in short.

Show some respect.
Use your brain.
drive a wagon.

haaaa. not on a regular basis..just said it happens.

Getting onto 680 south from mission blvd is a pain in the *** so I do it winding out 3rd gear hitting 4th. Usually between 75-85. Sometimes 90 depending on what I see coming at me. Once I got onto the freeway at 90 right in front of a cop got over to the fast lane and slowed to about 72mph. he cruised right on by me...didn't even look at me.

That's happened a time or two. but I think for the most part they understand you're just trying to not get run over by a semi truck in the slow lane that isn't suppose to be in the slow lane....not suppose to be there next to onramps. semis going like 75 mph or more flying down the grade...crazy bastards.

so no...normally I don't take fun from driving at those speeds around police.
