DMV thinks i paid a lot less for the car than i did, so i think mine in Sept was 186ish....thats including personalized plates.

but our other 2 06 cars (durango and s2k) are in the 300-350ish range. as of Jan 1st vehicle license fee went way up.

He may have paid more for his car initially. As stated your reg fee is based off of a percentage of the original purchase price.

actually now that a dem is back in control (gov moonbeam), he wants to raise your registration. which mean just raising the percentage.
DUDE, have you had your head up your *** for the past 2 years or what?

This Vehicle Licensing Fee was raised .5 percent (from .65% of vehicle "value" to 1.15%) 2 years ago. We were given the "opportunity" to vote on it, Prop 1a, and it was voted down. HOWEVER, the State had the authority to enact an increase for up to 2 years without our permission, so our vote was actually for/against an increase for the 3rd and 4th years.

Now what Gov. Brown is suggesting is to maintain this increase, possibly indefinitely. While I obviously do not agree with this increase, or the other increased/ cuts proposed, blaming it on the new Dem Governor is just ignorant. Pull your head out of your *** and read a ****ing book.

They should raise all registration fees to $1000. That might keep some of the garbage that I see on my way to work each morning, off the road.

What kind of expensive crack are you smoking... How does that sound like a good idea to you? You must not have kids or a house payment or car payment for that matter.

I would pay $1000 for registration if my insurance was 1/4 of what it is now. both cars $40 for 200/300/200, $100 deduct. hells yes, but thats the only way.
