How much should I sell my car for?

It's a 2001 2.5RS 4EAT Sedan in Black with only 32000 miles on it. One owner (besides being in my possession). No rust and only two imperfections. One scratch on the front bumper and a tiny little ding near the gas door. Clean title, no accidents.

I've had it on CL but was not willing to negotiate. Passed up a couple of offers for $12000 (should've taken it I guess)

I bought it six weeks ago for $12000. It needed it's 30K service done so I took care of that. I was thinking that I'd eat the cost of that and sell it for $12000... asking for $12500 and "negotiating" down to $12000.

It was bone stock when I got it but have done some minor mods to it... clear corners, bumper lights, wheels/tires and a coupe wing.

It really is one of the nicest I've seen... 1WRX2NV just detailed it this morning and it's all shiny and clean.

If you know anyone who's looking for a clean one let me know!

I'm pretty sure you can sell it for 11,500 AT LEAST. These cars are getting rarer and rarer. Plus yours has low milage.

If someone offered you 12, I would definately take it. I got mine for half that price but with 5 times the miles haha. In general i dont htin kmany people want to spend 12 on a non turbo rs when they could get a turbo wrx for a little more, esp since its auto.

yes, but comparing an RS to a WRX isn't really the point... the fact that it's an auto does make it a bit harder to sell though. It's just going to take the right person is all!

I should've taken the 12K. I had just spent all that money on the service though... Next time someone offers something close to that I will take it. It's seriously a nice RS and for those that prefer the body style it's a good buy. It's certainly not a steal but it's worth the price.

So, I'm going to remove the little things I've done and put it up on eBay and mayber Autotrader (although I've found CL to be a lot better for selling things...)

thanks for the input!

yea its an auto right, not to desireable especially since thats a type car that someone who wanted a clean one etc.. and was willing to pay instead of a wrx would prob want a stick.

funny, my experience has been that Autotrader has not sold a car and eBay has. But your right, they do sell for less on eBay. And I've only used Autotrader once so maybe I'm not being fair and should give them another shot.

So far CL seems to be the best for actually selling a car.

... again, comparing an '02+ WRX to a 2.5RS ('99-01... yes, I know the RS came out in '98) isn't what this is about. It being an auto is a factor. I've driven a lot of these in stock form though and the transmission doesn't make a huge difference. Especially in S.F.
