I have a weird redline now, 7800. Can someone tell me how to get a tach that displays a 7800 redline? I would like one that fits in the dash, not an external mount.

 

i dont know of any that are at 7800. you could get a JDM STi cluster that has a 8k redline and color in a few marks if you need to have a 7800 redline tach. i would just put a little mark by your current cluster and save yourself the money.

 

Well I guess an 8000 redline is okay, since that's my fuel cut.

The problem is that I sort of need the red to be gone...when I'm driving that hard, I'm not really reading the gauge, I just see that I'm in the red and I either need to get off or shift.

I don't think a mark would do it for me, but thanks for the idea...maybe I can come up with something.

 

Get some real gauges (Defi) and tie the Defi tach into your system that way you get a tach that goes beyond what you need, a shift light and warning buzzer all built in. Oh did I mention you can record and play back all the data too so for someone with a couple of mods like you it would be a valuable resource.

yeah... you can do that too. check out imprezers pics in the gallery. he made his own cluster.

 

I think the USDM comes with a shift buzzer or a light... i forget, though I dunno the redline.. is it still 7k on those?

 

yeah, the redline on the UDSM STi cluster is 7k. JDM's go to 8k
