I'm hoping I can sell space on the jacket to vendors who want to be on the said jacket to keep the costs down. I have a wife who is a spectacular graphic designer and my brother in law as well. They can do the artwork (my wife did the logos all by hand for the BAM shirt/hoodie) which will save us a lot of money, and I also have a sort of hook up with the screen printing place (that does everything from embroidery to silk screen) which is not just some small shirt shop, it's a large industrial factory that does high volume so that should save us even more dough.
Since my wife did all the logos for the vendors by hand she has them all saved on her computer which will save a lot of time since they area already done.
I don't want to charge the vendors too much, but I want this jacket to be affordable to everyone. I really don't want to cut corners and want this to be inexpensive considering how much comparable jackets of that type cost.
I have no idea what brand of jacket we're going to use, but I'll post up all the choices when we find some that fit our needs. I think the biggest task will be finding a jacket that we all like, that is quality made, and looks nice. The BAIC logo will be up there with the next challenge, and the vendor logos shouldn't be too hard since we already have them from the BAM shirt/hoodie run. All we need to do is add color.
After doing more research, the jackets might be $100ish, but I will try my absolute best to bring the cost down as much as possible and I'm hoping that the vendors as well as my wife and other artists who are willing to help out will bring the cost down so that this jacket will be affordable for everyone.
I don't want people to think that because it's a BAIC jacket that it should be really inexpensive, it's actually the opposite. This will be a custom jacket with custom everything.
I think the idea of having a name placard with our screen names on it would be friggin awesome! That might be expensive though, so in the worst case scenario I can put the name tag patch on the jacket (one in good taste) and you can always take it to an embroidery shop and have your own name embroidered onto the jacket... I think it would be hard to do it all in the initial run and I'm afraid of mistakes that might be made.
Man, having a jacket like this would be soooo friggin awesome. I think the hat idea would be really kick *** too... and I'm thinking of doing a sticker run as well since everyone and their mother wants some old school i-club sticker and no one sells them. Do a pair for like $5 or something.
But lets do things one at a time.
Im on a mobile device so sorry for any grammar errors and I can't respond to PMs at the moment, perhaps later or tomorrow morning. Sorry

It sounds like you are going to put a lot of work into this. Maybe before you get ahead of yourself though, you should make sure you have permission from vendors to put their logo on your jackets in the first place. That might be the best place to start, that way you know if you have their support, and you will know whether or not they will help financially. Just a thought, best of luck.

I'm not going to just put any vendor logo onto it, the vendors choose if they want to have their logo on the jacket it will be a small fee so that it brings the cost of the said jackets down and make it affordable for everyone... I don't know any other way of going about it, it would just be too expensive otherwise...
If it's too expensive, so be it, I know some people will still buy it but not as many as they would if it was more affordable and I know lots of people would be bummed if they couldnt afford it.
I'll do my best to buy in bulk, to get deals on everything, and get vendor support to bring down the costs as much as possible. The more people buy the better.
Vendors will be able to choose where on the jacket they want their logo, what their logo will look like, etc.
I will only allow certain vendors, like our bay area vendors, I'm not going to put "Bridgestone" or something like that on the coat. It's going to be vendors that we directly do business with. I think thats the best way to do it.
You interested in a jacket, Ryan? (unit).

They are two totally different things. This would be an official BAIC team jacket, which we're all part of, unlike the DC rally team which none of us are part of.
This would have more value to us because it's something we're part of.

Maybe take a poll to find out how much people are willing to spend. That way, instead of assuming it needs to be under $100, maybe you will find out that most people are willing to drop more for something that is of higher quality.
