Whatever you do...do NOT do it in a huge public setting!

IE:
At a sporting event on the jumbo tron or the score boards
At a resturant
Or pretty much anywhere you DON'T want a bunch of people seeing you if she doesn't accept your proposal. I'm not trying to jinx you, but you definently don't want the humiliation just in case! GLIA

I was thinking Christmas morning or something small. Definitely not going to be on the front page with a banner saying "SHE SAID NO" on it. I hope she doesnt, but like you said, just in case.

CA officially got rid of common law marriage in 1895 and is possibly the only state that wont recognize a common law marraige from another state (as a result of Prop 22, but it hasnt been tested in court). Common law marraiges can only be contracted in: Alabama, Colorado, the District of Columbia, Iowa, Kansas, Montana, New Hampshire (posthumously), Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, and Utah.

Why should that be a choice.....if you aren't happy, you should be LEAVING THE RELATIONSHIP, not being deceptive to the other half.

I do agree, just saying a lot of people stay in the relationship to change the other person. i have seen it my entire life and people stay in there and stick around to fix the problem.
