well, im not even at my 1/2 tank yet and im at 176 miles. im a good amount away from the half way tank as is

 

That was the whole point. To not have the turbo spooled at all to conserve gas and see what kind of mileage I get. All the other times I have shifted at around 3k, give or take 500 rpms, I was getting around 110 at the halfway.
