How many miles do you get at halfway mark?

I got 130 mph exactly at the halfway mark. That equals 16 mpg. I shifted at 2k rpms each time, and only went wot 2 times. All I have is a catback muffler. Is something wrong with my car? Other times when I shift at 3k I average 14 mpg What could possibly be wrong?

Oh and I drive mostly in the city (SF).

Is this city or freeway driving?

wow, 300 to 400? holy moly. the most i've gotten in 1 tank is about 310 and that's only 14 gallons. I know it's 14 cuz when i go fill up, i only fill up about 14 =P but that still comes out to be decent mileage considering it's half local, half freeway. i shift around 2500 to 3500

including backroad twisties and keeping it at 5 to 6grand
when i do that i get about 250 to 280 to a tank

400 is on the high mark though, usually 350 to 370

I average about 20mpg and that's mostly city driving and short trips (3miles). That includes some 6k rpm onramp runs, but mostly regular city driving shifting at 3k-4k. Is your car still new or have you reset your ecu? Maybe you should get it checked at the dealer if it continues. Go to Carlsen if you can, they're super nice and will try their best to look into it for you. Oh and try switching gas brands, sometimes that could help.

Brought it back in April. 03 model. I've reset my ecu several times in the beginning when getting some stuff installed, but haven't for 2-3 months. Also I brought this car from Carlsen

Gas, I use 76 or Costco gas.

so one gastank is not enough data.

I average 22-24 MPG and that involves an even mix of freeway and city, maybe leaning toward city....

I drive like an *** so I hit 6 k a lot...

Something is wrong would be my guess

Something def sounds funky. I average about 23 mpg or about 340 miles per refill. Shifting at 3k as my daily commuter + normal weekend and evening abuses.

Start off by properly calculating you gas mileage.
Next fill up, reset your trip odometer, fill up till the pump automatically stops

The following fill up again fill up untill the pump automatically stops, note the distance travelled divide by how many gallons were pumped.

Now you've got a accurate fuel economy figure, do it again a few times and you've got something to go on.

Anything over the 3K mark will accumulate and drop you gas a lot. I barely get over 300k with a 25 dollar fill up on 91 with like 2.20 a gallon.

thats actually pretty normal. if most of your driving is in the city. when i drive mainly in the city, my mileage goes straight to hell, but when i go on freeway i get better.
city driving i normally get 160miles a half a tank.
freeway driving i normally get anywhere from 180-210. last fill up i had the best mileage in a long time. 24mpg. ive noticed after switching gas co, after using the same one for a long time seems to improve my mileage. strange.
