Very different. Since about 40% more E85 is required the injector mapping is totally different. Since we do not have E85 sensors hooked up to our AP, you have to run one map or the other.(requiring a reflash with the AP)
Most tuners will probably recommend that you have both maps so that if you get stuck not being able to find E85, you can just get 91 and reflash.

I get anywhere between 150 -200 miles per tank, depending how I drive.

Avg: 250-280 miles per tank on e85= 17-19mpg with 25% city, 50% open hwy, 25% traffic on hwy.

240miles per tank if i'm having a bad work week and need some daily onramp/offramp stress release.

This is with 872cc injectors and an 18g.

For reference, I get 320 miles on ca91 (14-15 gallon fill ups) which is around 21mpg

According to my math, e85 is more economical than ca91. e85 is 19% cheaper than CA91. It's $3.39 on Montague right now, $3.34 in Fremont. 91 is around $4.10.

Mileage only drops by 14% from 21mpg to 18mpg.

As long as the % drop in e85 price is more than the % drop in mileage, it's cheaper for me to run e85 on a daily basis.

how the hell do all of you get such good gas mi? i get around 230mi to the tank with 91 driving freeway and city. even full highway i cant even hit 300 a tank when i drive to LA. my car has ben always an odd one with gas for some reason idk y and im not in boost all the time. i have been wanting to go E85 for a while but the whole gas milage thing is the issue but i also don't drive the car a lot since i have a commuter. so my question is Is E85 really worth it for me?

This is like talking dyno number, everone drives different and has different mods and tune! How you drive and the tune you have is a huge part in gasmilage! Don't know what cars LIC are driving to get 10mpg, my car gets 180-220 on a tank of E85. Anyone who gets 10mpg either has a heavy foot or has a crap tune!

E85 is the best power you can get for money! Tune your car on 91oct and then E85 and check the numbers! Try getting those numbers with 91oct and more mods! It would cost alot to get the numbers E85 puts down, if you wanted to get the same power from 91oct you would have to upgrade turbo etc. etc. Best mod you can do.......

ok dumb question, I have a 2010 impreza, NON turbo. NO wrx or sti and I run lowest at the pump. Should I jump to the "Medium" grade to get better performance?

Nat! I haven't seen you since BAP!! I get around 350 a tank too. And I commute Fremont to San Jose 5 days a week, and whenever i decide to trek to SJ to see fam on the weekends. Is it an easy change over from regular to E85?

My e85 tune was +70whp and + 90tq over my ca91 tune (Tuned by Infamous Tuning in LA)

Not sure how you only get 230miles on ca91, that sounds crazy! Is that normal for WRX/STI's?

I've heard the 0.707 6th gear in my car helps.

Roughly 14mpg's. Mostly bc I can't stay out of boost
I'd say more than half the miles are city driving which also equals to poor milage.

thats cause you go so fast!! I like how I get like an avagage of 18-22mpg on 91 on the wrx and about 33pmg is the gsr lol
