So I've just installed Windows 7 Ultimate RC build 7100. In comparison to Vista, loadtime is slightly faster, UI and its usability is much improved. Performance is something I am struggling to deal with right now, it seems to be slightly faster, and take ever so slightly less resources than Vista. However, it doesn't seem to be what the forum gurus and general consensus say it is supposed to be. Upon further research, there seems to be a disparity in performance between the 7000 and 7100 builds, or the RC and Beta (the one found earlier on BT).

Anyone else going through this problem? It annoys me as I've got the new HP Pavilion DV2 and it has a miniscule 1.6 single core AMD, which doesn't seem to process 1080P without choppiness (even @ fully optimal conditions)

Got a question then for everyone....
My new Macbook pro is on the way and I am gonna run Windows 7 somehow. Should I Bootcamp it or run it with Parallels or Fusion?

Mac OSx Secunia Advisories
Microsoft Vista Secunia Advisories
You'll notice that in 6 years OSX has had 128 Secunia advisories, and Vista has had 55 Secunia advisories in 3 years, so OSx isn't that much better than Vista in the vulnerability department.
Thinking you're not vulnerable is exactly the kind of thinking that makes unsuspecting OSx users easy marks for social engineering tactics, etc.
But don't get me wrong I am pumped to get my new MacBook Pro 17...Can't friggin wait....

Installed the RC build the other day and have had a couple of days to use it. Overall the GUI looks the same as Vista with a little more elegance and features.
I've been From XP to Vista and back to XP and can say that 7 'feels' a lot less bloaty and more responsive. Hell, I'm only running 1gig of ram right now because my other gig died and it feels like I'm still on 2gigs.. I bet if I had vista installed it would be a different story.
Overall, I'm happy with 7 and welcome it.
