then sell the car as is.

Hope you non-op'd it or documented that the vehicle doesn't run. If the buyer is a *****, he can sue you for all smog repairs, even if that means you have to pay for an engine rebuild. Some guy I know sued and won... what a *****.

Well it was registered as non-op, and the guy had it towed to his house so I guess it is obvious that the car isn't running. I don't see how someone could sue if the car doesn't run.

better to have it in writing, some people are f'in criminals and will sue you and say "well its not written down" its sad what the world has come to...
