How can I tell if this classified is legit?

I am looking for an STI tmic, and I found one on nasioc thats been polished and such. There is no sti logo on it, so would the polishing do that? I compare pictures and everything seems to be the same, just no logos. Can someone knock some sense into me, or reassure me that its fine? Here are some pics...

Seriously, I'm on a 20" 1680x1050 screen and I can't see the whole thing.

Wasnt there a story recently where someone had a polished STi IC?

When they went for a tune it was found that it was polished so much the welds were leaking.

That IC had been hacked in half and then welded back together.

This one just looks like a stock WRX one to me.

Yea I don't really want the valve. So I am aware of the other IC that had the holes in it, and I asked him about it and such. Of course, of course...he said he didnt over polish it like some but I have no way of knowing until I get it. I figured, how can you polish out the sti logo...wouldnt the paint get in between the fins? I dont know. You can tell by the shape it definately looks like an sti top mount, certain marks in metal and such but I am not positive. Guide me!!!

Tell me how one would polish the sti logo off of the fins without bending them.

I know, which is why I am very uncertain :/. Its so hard to find a nice sti tmic thats not crazy expensive. Doesn't seem like any of them on nasioc right now are in that nice of condition.
