I like what's been said so far about just ignoring his user name. Changing your title. Stuff like that.
Beyond that...I wouldn't worry about what he says. If he's got people interested in what he has to say after all this time then they're not people you need to worry about anyways. If your friends start thinking of you differently because of it then they aren't your friends.

I'm going to have to agree with Ray / OneManArmy on this one.
I had to cut out a large group of friends recently - due to just growing apart. It wasn't easy, but I'd rather not have those people in my life if they're going to cause so much pain to me.
Now, I'm just doing my own thing.

Haha, Ted, and everyone thanks for the advice. You know, I have been ignoring it.. I stopped going to the board we both used to mutually post on months ago because I moved on and my life is great, and everyone eats up his garbage on that site. I put him on Ignore on other sites we both shared and he almost got banned from one for pulling a stunt on me.. after that he stopped posting much probably because everyone pointed out what a jack azz he is.
However, I got a text msg out of the blue from him about some crazy bullsh*t (what's new) and so I went to that board to tell him off which I did over the phone too because somehow he was convinced that I give two hoots about his life and would spend my time caring enough to do what he said I did.
In the end it was great I went on that board for my sake because the Karma that I warned him about has finally kicked in for all he did to me. I learned his car got totalled and now he drives a total POS and he doesn't get along with his own friends and they fight like little girls amongst themselves- over the internet no less! LOL! Also, found out that **** he was cheating on me with for the last few months before we broke up is only 19 years old- haha.. he's pushing 30! Pathetic.
Now it's back to ignore mode. Oh yeah, and thanks to whom ever offered that I could hire them to "take care" of him... this guy has so many enemies out here (he is not local) that if he ever comes to Nor CAl he's going to have plenty of people taking care of him left and right- many people want to lay him up in the ER so he can have a taste of his own medicine.
