That sounds like family member more than anything else.

One of the first things I did when I purchased my home here is install a camera system and I have a pitbull that roams my back yard. Don't get me wrong, I live in a nice neighborhood but I still want the piece of mind. That's the first things people look for that are scoping out houses is if they have a security system or cameras. I heard that even if you have a security system sign in your yard that even turns them away. Either way bro I wish the best for you and hope they catch those fools.

Best of luck in getting some form of resolution in this f'd situation. Though property loss and/or damage sucks, at least you or your family (or whoever's up there caring for the place) did not get harmed.

U, damned thievin' scumbags!

SJ is a terrible place to live in. Horrible female to male ratio. Terrible people overall. Everytime I drive back to visit family it gets worse and more ghetto. All I hear are police/fire truck sirens down there. The closer you're located to the city the better life gets

Seems like residential burglaries are getting worse these days. Someone tried to break in my house years back, and I was only living there a week! good thing we have an alarm system that scared them off.

Now I have security cameras front and back and inside. I also displayed some of my target practice posters in my garage incase they were to get in there, hopefully they would think twice about going any farther.

Yes, my house-house is up north south of Redding, and . The police say they believe these people are out of shasta county as they have a description of the people and their vehicle ID, but no evidence or actual identity yet. Investigation is ongoing. Apparently they come to a house knock on the door to see if anyone is there. If not they case it for a while and then break in. They haven't confronted anyone yet because they are afraid of being identified and/or getting shot. People up here are armed. I am armed. We HAD an internet web cam but it died not too long ago....

They got a LOT of stuff, mostly electronics, but also a few of our firearms and thousands of rounds. Some very personal family items that are irreplaceable that are the only real things that bother me, coupled with the fact that people are so selfish and lazy to do this.

Will post more later. Still finding things that are missing....

IIRC, San Jose had the lowest crime rate for a city its size in the US. That doesn't mean there isn't crime, just that it is low for the large number of people here.

They stole stupid things like our bird bath. WTF? WHO STEALS A BIRD BATH?
