Or just let us take over the parking lots/parking structures and do autocross.

So, fire couldn't go in because of a "device" and bomb squad couldn't go in because of the fire... why couldn't they just hit the fire from above. There was obviously a hole in the roof pretty early on.

They were, news said four hoses from above for three hours. And each hose pumps around 240,000 gallons of water per hour or something crazy like that.

But that wasn't until later. I was home sick watching it on TV and they were just sitting there until almost 2pm IIRC because they said they were relying on the sprinklers as their first line of defense. Fire was started around 10:30am.
