The problem is this... now the burden of proof is on the police and the news. Unless they can prove he never lent the car out or he was in fact the driver he'll probably walk.

All they can prove is that it was his car and he admitted that. The fact that he painted it so quickly adds to his guilt. Not to mention that any self respecting drifter would notice that his tires are hammered and there's rubber all over his car after a test drive. Then there's the $7k... he'll probably have to show evidence of that.

It's all B.S. You can tell by the way the dude has been handling the situation that he doesn't take it seriously and doesn't care about the negative effect he's having on the local drift scene. I hope they blacklist him from events.
