HKS Hi-power turboback

I'm looking at getting a hi-power catless downpipe and a hi-power catback, how loud is it? I looked it up on youtube and found a few, sounds quiet but is that just because of the quality?

I'm putting it on my 04 wrx, going to do an open source tune

BKBLITZED had catless DP and HKS Carbon TI and he got a ticket for volume(lucky it wasnt ref!) I don't know how the hipower compares, I am pretty sure its the same just without carbon fiber...

well ****... I'm getting them as a package deal so would I be better off swapping out the downpipe to get it quieter? or get a silencer?

It isn't THAT loud. MY APS 3 inch that looks stock is way louder than either of my HKS's.

I also have a HKS catback for sale if you want, 250 dollars.

If you had just the hks catback with stock downpipe, the catback passes (but sometimes barely) the 95dB limit (anywhere from 92-95). With an aftermarket dp it will be louder.

I used to have the hks carbon-ti exhaust with a catless downpipe. I didn't think it was loud at all. It wasn't nearly as loud as my helix exhaust.

And I bought it off Derek above me! Haven't had any personal problems with the exhaust I would say it really isn't that loud. A little too big and too angled but definitely not that loud.

Lol Ouji, I do have to admit when I got pulled over, I was flat on it doing redline shifts. If you drive with this exhaust normal, you won't have any problems, but what fun would that be?
