Hit and RUN @ Capitol Subaru
So a couple of friends and I went to the Capitol Expressway auto strip to check out the 08 STI and Evo X. David our salesman helped us out and was a pretty cool guy overall. We tested in pairs
and I gotta say, the 08 STi has a very smooth power distribution anddddd! looks way better in person!
Anyway.. to make a long story short, a great experience at a dealership turned sour when some @!@$#$# hits my car in the customer parking lot and you guessed it... didn't leave a note. The damage isn't too bad I don't think but a $500 deductible just took away my d-spec struts i was planning to get for the summer. So.. if you were at the capitol dealership @ 4:30PM and did a hit and run.. DIE!
Here are some pics of the damage.. how much to make her look new again? (Ballz?)

Damage: Golf ball sized dent on fender, huge ding on passenger door, and side skirt scraped.
From what I can tell, they were trying to back out at an angle and their tire/wheel rubbed up on my fender and across the passenger side door while scraping off the paint on the side skirt

That sucks. Did you ask Capitol Subaru about it? I would think if any business had cameras all over the parking lot, it'd be a car dealership. Do you have an alarm? Maybe an employee heard an alarm going off and looked outside and saw a car leaving?
From my very n00b opinion, it looks like the ding on your door could be popped out. Though I'm not sure about the one on the fender. Good luck.

Damn dude, that sucks, I'm sorry to hear that. Did you by chance mention it to anyone at the dealership? Did you happen to notice what car was parked next to you when you arrived at the dealership?
People that do that crap need to DIAF, that's bull****.

Yeah, I gave the dealership a call yesterday and spoke with David and his manager. They told me they'd give me a call back after viewing the tapes.. but I still haven't gotten a call back. I'm going to file a police report only if they caught it on tape.. if not, i'm just going to take my losses. Also, am i entitled to viewing the tapes myself?

Someone nailed me in the exact same location. I know the pain. That crease will be hard to pull but the fender is easy. I bet you can pop that on your own, I did with mine. I still need to put my door on.
Anyhow sorry man, I hate that ish! $500 is still $500 and blows when you didn't do the wrong.

Sorry to say, but even cameras may not help you. My wife knows someone who was hit and run, minor injuries, totaled car. She has a witness and a license plate #. Police and insurance wont do anything because there were no serious physical injuries.

wow sorry to hear this. One bonus for you, it could be on camera. My hit and runs I had no witnesses and even though I knew who did it they said it was my word against theirs. I agree with subynooby with filing a report cus the cops can make then hand over the tapes. Good luck with it all!
