yeah, back when I was in So Cal, there was a Valero that charged an insane 58 cents per gallon more than cash. Though, mostly I've only seen Valero doing this so far, I sure hope that 76 doesn't start doing this.
Hurray, it's Ian!!

there's a 76 in socal (riverside) that charges 6 cents less per gallon if you pay in cash instead of card.
There are a few places that charge different amounts for Cash vs Credit Card, but in general I don't see very many places that there is ANY difference in price. Honestly though, California is just getting hosed on Gas prices anyways. We pay HIGHER than that National Average COMBINED with the fact that our Premium Fuel is only 91 instead of 93/94 like it SHOULD be.
In fact, I think we should start some type of petition to get our Premium Fuel brought back up to 93 Octane. I really don't understand WHY our Premium is reduced to 91 Octane as it would seem to me that cars designed for 93 Octane, but operating on 91 Octane are actually retarding timing which I would assume is causing the car to run RICHER than it would on the higher octane.

I know you can get cheaper gas at some station if you pay with cash. But haven't notice the price change upon swipe.
It's hard man, they have to pay a rate per charge then a transaction fee every time we use plastic. Then depending on the type of CC (no reward, reward 1, or reward 2) they get charged at a different rate. There is no free money, reason you get 'rewards' from your CC, because the vendors are paying for it when you swipe. That's why even I do take CC now, I much prefer cash.
