It's ok I understand it is not your thing but these two should not be compared.

The STi does well at drag racing where drifting or trying is just stupid. A lot of us here in the BAIC really like drag racing our cars so while it might not make sense to you, it's def a formidable car at the strip.
As soon as someone on i-Club puts an AWD Subaru in the tens let me know

So you are saying to be comptetive in the 1/4 you would need a 10? I just don't understand how if somebody in the BAIC gets in the 10's how that validates Subies in the quarter mile.

I wouldn't race the quarter mile either if I had chosen to buy a '05 WRX. So I understand where you are coming from.

The ESX STi is in the 8's. They are in Socal and the owner is from Petaluma. Does that work for you?:RockOn - not mine:

You've spent a few bucks on power mods yes?? But your still running 13 and 14 second quarters.

Put that same money into a V8 muscle car and you wouldn't be languishing in the 13's

If the only racing you do is for 13.5 seconds in a straight line then your not exactly showing your cars potential...thats why you got creamed by the Z28.

Drag race all you like, just don't post EMO threads when you post crap times and get your *** handed to you by cheaper V8's. Unless you have some SERIOUS cash to invest in your setup you'll continue to be owned by your Camaro BFF.

^ amen

having a subaru when all you strive to do is drag is a waste of a awesome car ( appreciatively and mechanically )

i use to love drag racing but when i got my subaru i learned to love everything but caring about what it runs in a 1/4 mile.

BUT to each his own

Keep showing your ignorance ***got. Just because your tranny and driveline won't hold STOCK STi power doesn't mean you need to rationalize to yourself why drag racing is stupid.

Sure I got a 13.5, sure a Camaro beat me. In every type of racing there is a learning curve and always someone faster.

I am slow out on the race course too, does that mean I should keep it off the road courses, hell-nah-nikkah.

You suck black clock. Yup I went there.:RockOn - not mine:

I'm not hating, 11 second time slips are nothing to scoff at. I just wanted an excuse to use this pic....

Good post, lots of well reasoned arguments.

Give me a call when you get into the twelves slowpoke (give it a few years practice and lose a bit of weight and you'll get there )

What's your number? I am in the mid to high 12's right now. Show how much you don't know.

This was a month ago. I have since been to GST and had some muffler bearings installed that I have had lying around for a while. I am headed back on the 29th to see if Mike can repack the muffler bearings, lube them, and tune them for 100oct. Then I might be able to post a low 12, but time and driving skill will tell.

And your mom likes me with a little meat on my bones so I will just buy a bigger turbo, emkay.
