I was thinking the same thing but didn't post.

Hypercolor shirts were like...boarder years. like 89/90. I believe. If memory serves me right I had one in like 6th or 7th grade...

the cars were 80's though..I had some of those. I think they were mid 80's.

biggest things in the 80's for me were break dancing. BMX. mag wheels. Parachute pants. MJ.....thriller. big wheels. lawn darts. single speaker single cassette tape boom boxes. Giant boom boxes. early rap....run dmc. Duran Duran. the Cure.

Things I remember.... The introduction of MTV. Mad Max. Warm up Socks and tiny skirts. learning about punk rock and AC/DC. AIDS freak out.

Try "Disguise the Limit" in Railroad Square in Santa Rosa... They have just about anything, costumewise. My ex-husband and I went there to get decked out for a 60's theme party one time. But then again, I dunno if you want to squeeze into some tight sweaty rental leather pants...

I don't get that link.... what is the point of it? I was born in 83, but I do remember some things. I didn't start kindergarten till 89. I was reading that and some of it was in the 80's. I know that the braclets didn't come around till like 3rd grade. I think I still have one lying around in a moving box... The bright scrunchies, the LA Gears, and the shirt tie things were the 80's. I remember wearing that **** when my older sister babysat us and dressed us in her clothes... I think that you have to see the '80's as 2 different era's almost. Theres the part (the late '80's) that all of us younger guys know; and then there is the eariler part of the '80's that all of you older guys know. Regardless, its still the 80's, we all just remember different things.
