Lets show heart guys and not be stupid here...women were beaten over the top here by MEN COPS..no women cops or any women at all...sorry but all these really angered me and brought up memories of me and my mom...Fuuuck those memories...
Are you telling me that women automatically can't use guns???

Because, as stated by some, the officers have NO IDEA how dangerous a person is by just looking at them. They can't let their guard down just because they're female, it doesn't work that way. An excessively lenient attitude is what can get a law enforcement officer (or any more people) killed or injured.
Hell, I'm sure if a female took the time to train, they could be as good or even better than a male who tries to master firearms.

But the force used in the two videos seems a bit harsh, I will agree on that. Shame though that tasers aren't too common as they're a much easier form to restrain people, but that's a totally different topic.

the second vid is def overkill. the first vid was a simple body check followed up by being cuffed.

until youve been bit, gassed and stabbed you just dont understand and never will. women are the worst to deal with. they hide razor blades in the hair and bras, epoxy blades to the press on nails, hide blades in the mouth.

hell, ive even had a chick dip her finger nails into her own **** and try and scratch me. i bet you didnt know that an average female can conceal a hammerless s&w stubby in her ******(true story) ive had women with STD's stick their fingers inside themselves then put them into their mouth so they can spit what ever they have into someones face. hollowed out vibrators with 100 pills, knife, coke and meph in one hole and in the other hole a phone, charger and more drugs.

are there cops who go to far, yes. but unless you do the job day in and day out you have no clue what its like. in the last 5 years weve had 2 people retire medically because a women infected with hep c spit in thier face.

Hey, coming from someone who used to bash on cops (but currently works in a related field) I can say I understand cops and their use of force. I've heard stories from guys who've been on the job with a good amount of years and experience. A lot of the things are done to know they have control of the situation and keep control.

Yeah but you knew it was a dangerous job going into it. That's like an accountant complaining his job is all about numbers & boring. Please remember you guys are public servants & thus accountable, and keep up the good work.

Yeah but at the end of the day the Accountant does what he has to do to close the books (hopefully legally). Same thing with the Cops, they're going to do what has to be done and as long as it doesn't get out of hand, who am I to judge? Now, overexuberance during SWAT raids or being dirty cops is inexcusable, but look at these situations. That one in front of what sounded like hella drunken onlookers, who knows where that can go? You already had two people fighting and slamming around a car, thats already way out of societal norms (and likely way further than anyone would have gone had they not been drunk). EDIT: the repeated slamming of her legs with the nightstick was pretty over the top, and clearly worthless, as it didn't stop her from moving around at all. Otherwise the people in that second video had it coming.

That reminds me of a tangential issue that I've always had on my mind: how badly does a nightstick strike hurt? In lots of videos, it really seems like it's as effective as a wet noodle. I ask because I've never been hit nor even handled a nightstick before.

Can you explain how someone can contract hep c from being spit in the face? HCV is a blood-borne pathogen, saliva is not usually considered a route of transmission unless it contains traces of blood. Even with a cut and true blood-blood exposure, seroconversion is only 1.8%.

very true BUT we are accountable for our familys too. being county/city ALL our training is budget based not to mention tools and such are not as easy to get. i consider the people i work with family,so im using money from my lawsuit winnings and im purchasing much needed tools. things like "wraps"(turns inmates into burritos)zip cuffs and expandable batons for people who cant afford them(rookies)

we are aware of the dangers of the job but criminals use that as leverage.

first,i personally handle 100 plus people a day so that is a huge part of it.

and your correct BUT if a inmate bleeding from a mouth wound spits in your eye, well its all down hill from there. not to mention in a setting like a prison or jail were 1 in 3 have at least one version of HEP.

the hardest part is taking their word for it. we screen everyone but its not like they are there for telling the truth. for example,in a normal day ill procees, book, house 60 inmates in 8 hours. im in a around 20 plus at any time. i personally screened/processed 3 people with hiv and hepc last nite. one was hammered, spitting while he spoke. another who had beat his wife and had cuts all over his hands. number 3 was a powder puff.

take your 1.8% and ask yourself did they consider a jail/prison setting when they created that number? i think not.

That's what I figured.
So is it usually user error when I see those videos of perps getting smacked repeatedly but to no avail?
Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions.

Haha, user error. I think its more likely that chick in the second video was blackout drunk and not feeling much. I bet sobering up was ridiculously painful, as well as getting around for the next week or two. A tazer seems like it would have been a better solution.
