I notice a sound similar to the one your noticing right around the time I need a major service performed. Im about to be due or my 90k, and I hear my diffs whining, almost like a turbo spooling sound. And with your car having 110k on it, im guessing you probly did not get your 105/110k major service done? And part of that service is replace tranny and diff fluids. Once you get this done, the sound will be gone and it will feel like a new car... for 15k miles untill you do it again lol

Get it serviced!!!
