Yea...mine started to make that waste-gate noise when I got turbo back exhaust. I was all worried about it at first...but I don't think it is a serious issue...just annoying.
Waste-gate clatter/flutter usually is at low RPM under lower boost during acceleration, very much during the times you describe.

My TR never had flutter. But you have to tune the car with each mod you put on. You an really mess things up allot otherwise.
Go check out www.romraider.com for info on logging your car. I hope its simple.

I would imagine the suction sound of your open intake you had on before was drowning out the subtle clicking.
Be weary of people crying foul on the tune, espically people that over look the fact that you changed a part of the car that can easily change airflow and load.

If you are only hearing at the onset of boost I would lean towards wg chatter or lean even more toward the GM 3 port as they "click" as they start working (controlling boost pressure).

I guess am very **** and paranoid with maintaining my car, so I like to address every noise I am not familiar with
As I have said above, my thoughts all along were that it was something simple knowing that I take good care of my car and it was way too early to start thinking worst case scenarios. The car will go back on the dyno for a retune as stated in my original post hopefully sooner than later.
I appreciate everyone's feedback and contributions!

It was indeed the GM 3 port solenoid clicking as it started working. Since it is mounted metal to metal against the car chassis, it became more apparent after the "whooshing" intake noises were no longer there. Some rubber bushing between the two took care of that

I would reuse the rubber piece that came on the stock BCS to get rid of the ticking then.

Nah, this way I can tell American car guys that in part my Subaru is American muscle!

Oh snap, that's a good idea. I just paid a visit to Lowe's on the way home

Using the stock rubber grommets that mount the stock solenoid isolates all the clicking associated with the GM solenoid. All solenoids click and that's why Subaru used the grommets in the first place. If you mount the factory solenoid directly to metal you'll hear annoying clicking as well
