if you weren't so far away, and if i had my heat gun on me (someone else is borrowing it right now), i'd help you with it.
seriously dude, it's not that difficult. if you do the oven method, don't leave the lamp in the oven for more than 7-8 minutes at a time. you just want to gradually heat up the glue, you don't need to completely melt it down in one shot. just leave it in the oven at like 250-300 degrees for about 7 minutes, pull it out and slowly pull the lens off the housing. after about 2 minutes of that, put it back in the oven for another 7 minutes, then just keep repeating that whole process until the lens has seperated from the housing. the key is to take your time, and do it slowly.
if you're doing the hot water method, just be sure to not let the lens sit in the hot water for too long. aybe 10 minutes at a time (depends on how hot your water gets) is enough.
if you're doing the heat gun method, keep it on the low setting, and don't let the heat gun concentrate on any one spot for more than 1/2 a second. just keep the gun moving, kinda like if you were spray painting, and every few minutes or so, just start working the edges until the glue seperates.

Do the oven, its easy as pie. Just make sure you have a container and keep all the screws together. Do it on a big table and lay down some towels when you crack it open. Just take your time, be careful, and plan ahead with what you need.

Amen. I even sealed mine after I re-assembled them with Black Silicon ~ Again... no brainer... just search the directions from Nasioc "'04 Headlight Clearing".

some people even go one step further and wrap the edges with electrical tape after they use the silicone. it looks like crap, but with the hood closed, you can't see it anyway.
