So who wants to help me clear and paint my headlights?

I looked at my car today and noticed that the orange reflector is a real eyesore on the front of it. I'd like to remove it and at the same time cover the chrome.

I've seen numerous how-tos, but would rather work with someone who has some experience. I don't see this as a difficult process, but would just like some guidance.

I'll buy lunch, dinner, whatever... or if multiple people want to do it, we can have a mini-install fest.

MY 2006 STI, fwiw.

Thanks,

Justin

Does anyone know what kind of sealant to use just in-case the ones already on the lights get messed up?

Also doing mines soon (next week or so).

^+1. that's what i've seen used by most people who've done the mod. there's a ton of sealant on the lights already (on an 04 at least), so as long as you can keep most of it on the lights, you should be golden. good luck man .

i didn't even use sealant and i have no issues with it at all. it seemed they put enough of that glue inside it already, so when i reheated the headlight it sealed back up just fine.

after everything was finished, i just put a thin line of black silicone sealant around the housings to make sure there were no leaks that could lead to condensation.
