Best case scenario, you might have a bad head gasket or worn valve seal. Worst case scenario, your piston rings are going out. I'd get a leak down test done and go from there.

means you need to buy a valve cover gasket set and change it. should come with spark plug hole seals too.

EDIT: didn't read carefully enough. Oil could have been on the bottom or the top of the plug. Makes more sense.

Wow, I have the same identical problem with my 96 Camry and I do the same exact thing.
