HELP with installin dvd deck

ok so i just bought myself a kenwood doubledin dvd deck and wanted to get installed by frys or circuit city but they're prices were off the chart. circuit city quoted me 155.67 for installation. so now im tryin to see if the baic's can help me out with this. if anyone has a spare wiring harness that i can have it will be very generous and easier for me. but im not sure if i really need it.

so my problem is i need help with installation and wiring kit. i can pay whomever helps me around 40 dollars. please i want this in alreayd! =D

btw anyone know how to bypass the dvd player at the same time?

YOU NEED A WIRE HARNESS. Go pick one up for $15. DO not cut on your car wires!

The rest is easy and is in your book. All you have to do it match colors and crimp with a connector. Installing a deck is cake.

xhengmanx: I can help you out, I'm in North San Jose. It's pretty easy, go pick up the harness, it should be around $20 bucks. Just a matter of crimping wires together, so you'll have to pick up some butt connectors from Radio Shack, you'll need about 3 packs to be on the safe side. Let me know.

I too will work for food, lol.

its not that hard. I wouldnt go by harness color all the time. For some harnesses the colors does not always match up. Its very easy though. Just go buy the aftermarket wubaru radio harness and understand the which wires are which (there is a schematic on the packaging) then connect those wires (schematic found in instruction booklet) to the aftermarket headunit.

Gently pull off the dash trim surrounding the headunit ( this is held in place by clips ) and remove the six screws that hold the headunit in place.

shops don't even install that way. There should be no need to solder a stereo, especially if you change them often as some do. I would solder say something to the ECU, but that is entirely different.

I did that with my 240SX head unit, I ran out of crimps. It took a long time, and my ears can't tell the difference to make soldering worth it, so crimps it is
