Hello everyone it's me the dumb a**.

I crashed the car into a wall on accident and messed up the front bumper, the drivers fender is tweaked and the hood is out of allignment on the drivers side. I need to fix it obviously and don't know what to do. Miguel is upset so he really doesn't want to talk about it so I'm on my own.

Is it true that if I tell the insurance my rates are going to skyrocket? Or should I just pay on my own?
Also, since I am fixing the sh*t anyway, what modifications can I throw in there? Does anyone know a good bodyshop that will be a fair price?

Please help and give any advice you all might have *tear*.

tehre are a few places in the sac area, not sure if your willing to go that far though.

you can always get a CF hood
and just get stock fenders?

umm...might also want to see if you need a new bumper beam?

 

it depends on what happened and up to the adjuster. Once I had to avoid hitting a deer, and i hit a dirt embankment instead. Many people told me my rate would go up because it would be considered as my fault. But the adjuster said, since I was avoiding to hit a deer, it wouldn't be considered as my fault. So my rate didn't go up. I used this shop couple of times and they do excellent wokr. might be a little far for you...

You gotta make your decision QUICK. Sometimes if you don't report a claim to your insurance company right away they will make it harder to get your claim handled.

I guess I would probably get my car fixed by insurance if the cost to repair was more than my deductible. I mean, that's why you have it right?

if it looks like someone backed into the front, then u can just park the car on the street and call the cops, tell them that someone hit your car while you were somewhere else, then i dont think the insurance will go up. i was told that if your vehicle is not in motion then your insurance will not go up

 

I wouldn't advise that. If the cops take note of the lack of car paint on the damaged car body, or no broken bits on the ground, they will suspect fraud and write it up in their report. The angle of impact may be all wrong, too.

If I say that I let some borrow my car and they parked it in 1st and when I came to the car I remote started it would the premium go up since its an accident?
