Help a fellow iclubber get some *** :D
Whats up duders, I'm a student at UC Davis and just started dating a girl a couple weeks ago. I wanna take her out to a nice night on the town in SF but I'm from Socal so I don't know the area that well. Do any of you cassanovas have any tips or recommendations for me for restaurants, bars, etc. I'm willing to spend some money, but nothing outrageous. Thanks for your help.
Peace, Steve

Hey! You go to Davis too? What year and what car do you drive? I'm a Freshman and theres an STi at home in the garage for my brother to use on the weekends. SF is great because I'm from there..and yeah it's just great! Ok, is this like a formal date fancy pants stuff or just a relaxed date? I have no experience in fancy dates because I'm a cheap chinese boy and my gf and i don't really care. For the not so expensive dinners you can always go to asian places like that Pho place in Ranch 99 by Skyline Blvd or..well basically any pho place is good. That restaurant...buca di beppo on 5th and howard or whatever was pretty good and not too expensive. Kinda loud and family oriented though. you get lots of italian food.
some cool palces you can go are ..of course the beach...golden gate park, the pier's, mostly tourist palces i guess. where is the girl from? my favorite place is fort funston by skyline. it's mostly a dog park but it has a greeeeeat beautiful view. i just dont wanna mention stuff in downtown and stuff because parking is so lame but i guess you can park in the garages (again im cheap lol).
here's a dining guide.

i think..in my opinion, worry less about the dinner or the place ...just make her laugh and smile and be talkative and all that good stuff i'm sure you know about. just have some fun! too bad weather's not that great. man thinking about dates is making me happy, all the good times around SF with my gf! oh yeah lake merced is nice when it's sunny too. jsut don't go in the water or else you might...get really sick. i'm more from the sunset richmond..the outside part of SF. if you wanna go into the heart of SF...like downtown and stuff....cant help ya there =(. and yeah im more of an...quieter open space beautiful view type of guy...not really the city crowded bar drinking type. oh twin peaks is beautiful too! good luck!

id say take her to the botanical garden at the golden gate park and then you guys can have a picnic, then you can hed on to the beach.
Stay on the other side of the bay and take her somewhere in Marin, that way you can see how pretty SF is, but not have to deal with the hassle.
Or you could take her to the Tenderloin and whatever she earns is what you spend on the date.

Actually, the Castro IS my favorite part of the city, and I'm not gay. Once you get over the gay aspects of the area, it actually does have some of the best bars and restaurants. Besides, women tend to feel safer in gay bar.
Don't knock what you don't know.
For cool places....Medjool, Betelnut, North Beach Restaurant are all cool and fun.
