It's 100% legal to do a USDM engine swap in favor of having turbo, 6mt. Plus insurance would be slightly cheaper since its still classified as a 2.5RS

You can't do an engine swap into an FRS or BRZ legally

Welp I found one at a dealership in san jose for 5 grand, but it ended up not passing inspection so it went to wholesale auction
