help with brakes

hello,

sorry, this is not for a subaru.

is anyone that lives near san ramon/dublin area that can help me with my rear brakes on my 93 honda accord beater car?

i got the caliper piston in its place but i am unable to put the caliper and the new brake pads to fit everything together.

thanks.

For the rear you need to screw in the caliper piston, NOT compress it.

take a large flat head and screw it in clockwise until it stops, don't use excessive force.

thanks for the info.

i was able to twist the caliper pistons back in. so the pads should fit right in. but after messing with it for two hours, i still wasn't able to put the calipers and pads together on the rotor. almost as though the pads are too big.

the passenger rear side is done.......

i got one of those caliper kits from harbor freight and i think i compressed it to the max already.

if it's not the caliper piston causing the problem, what else can it be?

i screwed it in with a brake caliper kit. the piston has a cross type shape and it cannot be compressed. tried again this morning but the caliper still doesn't clear the new pads.......
