when i try the key to open the doors alarm will set off.....before that cant lock unlock doors with the remote, after trying many different things last one i tried locking doors inside then tried opening doors with key then this happens...

how do i shut off alarm to even drive to dealer?

 

put the key in and turn on the car.

if its a factory subaru alarm.. then the key in the ignition should disable it.

 

My '04 does the same thing. If I lock it with the remote and then try to turn the key in the door, the alarm will go off. I have the factory alarm. Strange subaru

 

Same with mine. I thought it was in 04, but maybe it was 05 where they made it that one button push locks the doors, and pushing it again arms the alarm.....

anyone know if putting the brain from an 05 in my 02 will give me this function?
