HDTV's and You

I am in the market for a new tv and was wondering what kind of tv's you guys have and or recommend. I have been looking at LG's and Samsung's. I want something that is 37-47 inch LED, 1080p, and 120hz, I do not care much for 3D. I know that there are a lot of tech guys on here so I figured I would get some good feed back from you guys. Anything helps. Thanks in advance!

I would buy a HDTV from Amazon. The price of a 60" Samsung HDTV was 1k less than Best Buy.

This would probably be the tv for you

Amazon.com: Samsung UN46D6300 46-Inch 1080p 120Hz LED HDTV (Black): Electronics

i have a friend who works for Sony in valleyfair and i'd call and ask but that guy is asleep now...knows everything about this stuff

i personally have a panasonic 42 inch that works great for my gaming needs...also have a Sony 50 inch outside for movies and tvs...

both are great but keep an eye out for the hertz since its what matters most for fast paced pictures

Samsung, Sony, and LG are all great brands...i'd take a drive to VFair and visit the Sony store (cmon, they have their own store) and talk to the sales rep about the differences between the brands and what they offer...if you do drop by, look for a guy name Ryan (my buddy) and talk to him

you need to keep an eye on slickdeals. I got both of my TVs through it for amazing prices. Currently have a 60" Sharp Aquos 1080p 120hz. Bigger is better.

If you dont care about 3D and you want one of the best pictures. Look at the Samsung UNC6800 or UNC6900 both are the same one is offered only at best buy. (Dynamic contrast ratio 7000000:1, 120HZ) 55" 1080p LED TV Series 6 | Samsung UN55C6800 - LED TVs
I have this TV and the picture is AMAZING!!! Everyone comments on how clean our TV is. I looked at getting an LG True LED tv and i even gave a sony TV a minute of my time but i ended up with the samsung because of the quality of the picture and the cool features. It also has great reviews and the only negatives that i came across had to do with the built in speakers. My TVs could have come with no speakers i would not have care, I buy my TV's for picture quality and features not sound quality.

Also, my good friend is a TV repairman (fixes LCD and Plasmas everyday). As far as reliability is concerned, he says he sees Sony and Panasonic the least and that Sony generally has the best warranty. He is also adamantly against Samsungs, about 50% of the TV's he fixes are Samsung. Food for thought.
