Anyone? I've looked for definitions and it's still unclear to me.

I'm actually not. It's damn unclear esp when this is asked in an interview situation.

Answer me how much does this make ****ing sense tell me.

An ethical dilemma is a situation that will often involve an apparent conflict between moral imperatives, in which to obey one would result in transgressing another. This is also called an ethical paradox since in moral philosophy, paradox plays a central role in ethics debates.

I think an ethical dilemma is where, what you think is right and what should be morally right isn't really right...?

This one time I saw a really dumb thread and I was like "Should I try to explain to this dumbass why the answer is obvious or should I troll this thread?" After giving it some thought, here is a picture of a spider.

Hmm, true. Simple yet hard to verbalize. What do you think about this..

Ethical Delimma: A delimma which, when presented, results in any chosen outcome causing a breach of ones moral beliefs or values.

IRS auditor goes into a business an sees that the owner is clearly struggling to provide for his family. The auditor also discloses a large liability that will certainly result in the man losing his business, his home, and the ability to provide for his wife and kids. Whether or not to assess the liability is at the discretion of the auditor.

It's like the saying, "Sometimes doing the right thing isn't doing the right thing". Take for example this case... Alameda police, firefighters watch as man drowns, blame budget cuts for being unable to respond | abc7news.com

Your gut instinct is to save the guy, right? Yes. Same as if you arrived at a scene and a house was in flames. But what if your department policy tells you otherwise? I mean, you technically could say **** your department policy and go save the guy if you honestly believed you could, but what if you're not trained for certain situations? What if you actually end up killing the individual if you try to save him? In your mind, you want to save them, but your dept. policy says to not intervene. What do you do? do you let the person drown or go save the person? What do you do?

That's an example of one right there.

If you're looking for a definition...basically the conduct that is perceived between right and wrong.

What do you do?
What should you do?
What will you do?

Those 3 questions can be factored into how YOU define an ethical dilemma.

Probably didn't help answer your question....LOL!!
