Couple things changed since I got my car in '03

1. No longer get waves. In the beginning everyone was excited to have a WRX and I got the "corvette wave" from young and old suby drivers alike

2. This past couple years more and more I find I'm one of the few bugeye owners to have bought the car new off the lot, which kinda surprises me but then again it also doesn't - the bugeye really is an underdog car nowadays if you're not willing to put in a lot of money to upgrade it, I can certainly see why most smart people just said F it and got their STI or Bimmer and passed their WRX onto the 'first time driver' bin

The same's happened with the EVO community

But on the other hand, the community is more supportive with more shops, more smart technicians out there, etc !

I still wave, as long as your car is visibly modded. I've gotten too many weird looks from peeps driving bone stock Imprezzas to keep that **** up.

yeah, I usually scope out the situation first. You get dirty (and not the good dirty) looks when waving at random women in subarus
