You basically nailed it right on the head. I can't agree with you more on this. hahhahahaa

oh man. Don't get me started on rap. I used to be the biggest fan growing up with phranzen on 106 and then moving into the deeper stuff, the roots of rap etc. I loved Jurrasic 5, thought they were going to save rap, but they sold out, Xzibit's 40 days and 40 nights was amazing, but then he went mainstream big time too, Same goes to Nas, Jay-Z(although the black album and the grey album due to dangermouse redeemed him a bit), Mobb Deep, Wu-Tang (Iron Flag was horrible), for a while, thanks to the abundance of stuff on EFnet I was kept happy as I listened to Biz Markie, Run DMC and older Pac, Biggie, and Big L, but it sort of ran out and all there is today is mainstream crap, rap today is nothing like it was in the 90's and quite frankly, I've lost faith. The only worthwhile listen these days is SOME of Kanye West's stuff, LAst Call is a pretty good track, but other than that, I've been expanding my musical horizons so to speak. I tried Dancehall and reggae, but that was sold out quicker than a Britney Spears concert, so I guess all that I've been listening to lately are some(very little) trance/jungle/house and for the most part indie rock and other rock type stuff. God I wish the good old days would come back.

C True Hollywood Stories was just sad (the only album I didn't bother getting) and at the time, to think 2000 B.C. was just bad enough. At least he redeemed "U Didn't Care" off that album by doing a remix by flippin' a Sade sample.
