biased lol
that drag was rediculous. does the sti really have a big problem with getting all that power to the wheels or something? thats ridiculous, the sti should have killed the evo in the drag race

Someone was on the payroll!!
But seriously, i think the car could have done better with a different driver. Maybe like someone from the TougeMonster show. IIRC, the RobiSpec STi did a better time at that course. Even a STock STi is clocked in at almost that same time. Oh wells.

both cars had different drivers? werent they both being driven by sam hubinette, or was that only during the track test?
i have had no sympathy for the new sti since its debut

Seemed like a biased test for sure...
On the subject of Harman, looks like a major downsize is in their near future...

3. What about your TimeAttack program?
Fortunately, we’re in good shape here. JC Meynet will be back next year in the 2006 STI. We’re doing a full rebuild over the winter and will be making a hard push into the Mod class for next season. As we’ve already secured a host of great sponsors, we’re confident next year will prove our most successful yet… although we’d be happy with the 2008 result over again.
We’re not going to be able to run a three car team next year, so the 2008 STI will be up for sale. This is an awesome car at a great price, hopefully it ends up with the right owner. The 2008 Evo X will be running next year as well as that car is owned by Stoptech, Harman Motive is just a major sponsor.
so they're selling the sti and keeping the evo. hmmmm.

heres the answer for everything.
For the show, both cars were making ~300whp on our Mustang Dyno (ie they were even). Furthermore, difficulty with launching the STI led to much slower 1/4mi and 0-100-0 results than the Evo. However, the track results are quite accurate.

The STI an automatic or something? Sure lagged like one...oh wait, the driver only totally got screwed by an Evo. Sound weird?

i believe on the track the evo was a little faster, but on the drag just don't make any sense.
the sti had more power, torque, and it weight less. and it was so much slower on the drag race, and 0-100-0. all BS
