This is my first week working graves and I've been off for three days (I work 4x10) so I'm trynig to keep a routine and stay up pretty late even on my days off.

well I wanna stay up till around 8 when my gf heads to work but with no one to talk to or hang out with it's rough fighting off the sleep

man, i feel for you. i used to have to work shifts like that, and i *never* found anything that helped with the transition, other than more caffiene than it would take to kill an elephant.

 

those shifts suck.

i'd say you need to tear your ACL. I can't sleep for **** lately. I need to go to sleep at reasonable hours cause I have to wake up at like 5:45-6am. but instead I lay in bed trying to find a comfortable spot for my knee for hours. I finally fell asleep last night thanks to my friend vicodin and flexeril. Bad combo with 5 hours to sleep it off.......so so late for work today.

yeah I might have to take a grave shift next quarter, my team goes in quarterly shifts and my number's coming up.

unless I get a promotion before then =D
