Note that he had a trailer attached. As we're going along he's driving like a MANIAC... he turns his lights off in like 5 second intervals (its dark!)... The dude is literally drifting his truck on this small road to avoid me passing him... It was something out texas chainsaw massacre... Finally I found a gap to pass him...

In all my years I have never more reckless driving in my life. It was unreal.

Just thought I'd share... and why the hell did he keep tuning off his lights?

If he was driving like a Maniac they guess u were driving like a total Maniac since u were high beaming him and trying to pass on a small road.

yeah, while most of us (myself included) have the "you're crazy, and I'm going to show you I don't want to drive near you by passing you) mentality, you are actually safer following behind at a reasonable distance supposedly

I'll add a story though. I was on a 2 lane highway and there was a durango behind me (4:00AM). I was cruising along in my dodge stealth at about 55-60 (limit was 55) and when we get to a straight part this guy who had been tailing me decided to try to pass me. I was a stupid high schooler with a v6 "sports car" (that weighs as much as a minivan and was FWD) but I give it some gas so he can't pass, I was mad that he'd been riding my ***.

I then get paranoid, so I go by the turn off for my neighborhood. He is still tailing me. I start to take the next exit for the neighborhood, so does he though so I don't take it. The highway goes to 4 lanes, I stay going 55, when the limit goes to 65, so does he. We get towards the next exit, I get into the left lane, he stays in the right, but matching speeds. As we get to the exit I slam on the brakes, dart in behind him, and take the exit. He tries to slam on his brakes too, but with an SUV he's beyond the exit and couldn't make it.

Since then I've been a little less cocky on the road

I am with Gibz, I grew up in the hills and mountain roads, when possible it is best to pull over and let them continue along. if they happen to crash i dont want to be anywhere around. I would rather not put myself in danger like that.
