You know what's sad... Alex leaves and our new "owners" tell us how our community is now going to be. New rules all around. Excuse me? I wasn't here at the very beginning but I know the history: I-Club is BAIC. Without BAIC, their would be no I-Club. This is where it all started. We built this community, we support this community, we pay for and throw our own annual events, and we support our own local tuners (who have now became quite succesful, geez you guys make me proud!) and then someone steps in and tells us we can't run our community the way we've been successfully running it for years? WTF indeed?

Actually Alex was quite frustrated...

Alex also had basically the same rules in place, but just wasn't able to enforce them. Then he got so busy someone took his site away from him... then he got busy and again and decided it time to see his family. Now we are here. The rules are pretty much the same, the only difference is a serious request to abide by and enforce the rules more often.

I see what the mods are saying.. being an admin on wrxmodders its frustrating having a bunch of threads in the wrong sections..

but I see what the deal is on here with the members frustration from first hand experience.. its just nice to have BAIC as our own personal local OT section where as locals we can share the BS stuff we find with each other as local friends.

Exactly

We are not trying to make some new revolution, just get back to the way things are supposed to be. We are not trying to screw BAIC members, just not trying to screw the site as a whole. IF you care about this site, you MUST care about the whole site. If we were to accept that every thing was just going to be BAIC from now on, we would also have to accept the eventual end of the site. This site NEEDS to be a complete site to survive and I do not understand the hostility to that point. All we are trying to do is simply enforce the rules and MAKE THIS SITE THE BEST IT CAN BE. That is what everyone should want. Alex is still a part of this and he wants what is best for it, and trusts us to make it happen as he needed to move on to important issues of his own. We are not doing this for the money, as in fact, we make none. As advertisers are concerned, we cannot afford to loose a lot of money and helping out the rest of the site would improve that. However our first concern is to simply have a strong organized and active site for ALL members.

That said, the BAIC is not the only active section, just simply the most active and the only one that resists. You guys are used to the way things have been and thats fine, but we ask you to understand that it is not whats good for the site.

We can all agree that tech threads belong in the tech sections, so thats good. As for OT, I have stated several times that I do not want to move all OT out of BAIC, just what doesn't not specifically belong here. Please try visiting the several OT general sections we have specifically for this purpose. For example, we have a section just for videos that has been here forever. Its nothing new. So if you want to post or watch videos not of specific relevance to the BA, that is where to go. If you want to talk about other cars, we have a car lounge. Politics...got that covered. As far has that phone diagnositic thread, it had nothing to do with the BA and the OP understands that so it should not be a problem with anyone else. Look how much OT remains in the BAIC...there is plenty that I would never think to move. If we do move a thread of yours, and you have a problem with it, talk to us. We are not dictators. We are also not some outside corporate "owners". We are subaru enthusiast that own the cars and car about this site.

So if anyone read through this whole thing, I just ask to work with us for the betterment of the community. We don't ask you for money, we just ask that you take some time to do what is best for the whole and I dont think that is too much to ask.
