You are contradicting yourself. You said they don't have to be mutually exclusive. You can do it, but that's not what you said and that's not what was implied.

I never said I don't respect my elders, ;-) I'm Asian, we're taught that growing up. But that doesn't mean I can't point out the truth. OneManArmy's posts are always the same, always about how he grew up and how everyone should be more like him. That and always disliking posts that disagree with his sensibilities, self centered is what we call it, no?

So you can express your "opinions" to try and change other peoples opinions but he can't? And no where is he saying that how he grew up or the things that he's experienced other people should. If that's what you are getting from his posts, then your reading comprehension is off. He uses personal experiences as examples only.

I'm not the one who came into a lulz thread to express my disapproval over something insignificant and unrelated to all of us. Subsequently turning the whole thread on its head. You don't see me doing that. I only expressed my opinions after the fact.

Sorry he doesn't find humor in someone defrauding a company out of money.

Considering he gave a Chinese consulting firm access to Verizon's system without telling Verizon, seems like fraud to me.

They hire this guy... they hired HIS RESUMÉ and HIS BACKGROUND. They hired this guy for who he said he was and what he said he could do.

What he gave them is what someone else could do. That is not what they hired him for.

If they hired him for a task... like you would hire a contractor. That's another deal. I hired a contractor to do work on my house. I am hiring his reputation and his management abilities. I understand he will get the job done to a certain level... his level. Who he chooses to accomplish the tasks is his decision. That is completely different than what this guy did.

You being o.k. with this is saying essentially this...

You drop your car of at a shop to get some parts installed and a tune. Why did you pick that shop? Reputation and results.

So you leave and you go back to work. Pick up your car and find out that the tuner didn't work on it. He had some mexican he picked up at home depot install the parts and some junior high kid that tutors math do the tune.

Is that what you paid for?

****.
No, but in what if you got a good install and a good tune? If the quality of the work is the same then realistically you can't complain to much? Well you can, but i wouldn't provided the work was up to par. Now on the other hand in this case they were paying him a large sum of money that he was then paying part of to the Chinese so i can see how that would **** the company off....that and the whole issue using their system ect...so realistically it depends on the situation.

Ethics are based on a point of view so it being unethical is really subject to question, but as far as his mentality goes....that's progress? I'm not against working hard since i do at my jobs, but i still think what he did is clever and some what comical....mainly cause i give no ****s about companies like Verizon. Had he ripped off a grandma and her 12 cats.......now that would be different....all hail ethical POV!
