Talking GT4 is coming!!!

man i cann't wait to get my hands on a copy. there are a total of 50 tracks and over 500 cars currently in the game; with more on the way. Of course, each car will be fully customizable. due for release around november or december.

GT4 could be the game that will make us grab a Network Adapter. Rumor has it that Sony wants the GT4 Online experience to be more than just racing – a community of car enthusiasts they claim.

watch out kk-meets and baic chat!!!!

You forgot to mention the new Logitech/MOMO steering wheel with a 2.5 turn range (ala real steering wheels) that will be released for GT4.

Release date is January '04 stateside. Seems to me (and every marketer with half a brain) that they should put a rush on that translation and get it ready pre-Christmas.

I'm tempted to buy a PS2 just for this game. Plus GT3 is super cheap now. Hmmm...

I think there is supposed to be a 93 Legacy Touring RS but who knows. Theyve only 'officially' confirmed ~20 cars.

As for that "online experience", the way PS2 online stuff works (So I've been told by game store nerds) is each game has its own online service that you have to subscribe to (i.e. pay for individually). What a load of crap! I'm talking warm, wet saggy pants kinda load of crap! Why can't SOMEONE who isn't involved with UNIX not pattern something after Microsoft, geez.

All Sony had to do is allow you to connect an ethernet adapter through the PS2's USB ports, allow you to set an IP address and provide a Quake-style intercative client/server setup API to the game makers... freakin cake.

If they keep it the old way for GT4 and you wanna race me... bring your freakin card to my house

Hmmm.... I play SOCOM and THPS4 online all the time and there is no service I have to pay for other than my Earthlink account. Having to pay to play Gran Turismo online would suck. If they do charge for online gameplay, they should sell GT4 for $20.

They won't charge. That's something the X-Box would do.
