GST Just contacted me and told me to "Come and get it!"

w000000000t!

In case you don't know the history, I have been having a hell of a time finding a seat that fits me nicely as well as rails that are long enough for my tall ***, and when I had almost given up hope, Tommy from GST came through and made some custom rails for me for my Sparco EVO 2 seat which sits back far enough so I have a ton of leg room compared to the old stock config as well as other aftermarket configs!

Here's a pic:

It basically uses a recaro bottom bracket and is mated with the sparco side mounts so it's fully sliding and adjustable, as well as really low for me!

I can't wait till tomorrow to pick it up!

<--------- Stoked that a seat has finally worked out for me after trying 4 different seats (had to sell them all due to problems with fit with either the seat or rails.

BIG props to the GST crew as always, and a very big thanks to Tommy for under taking the project even though you have been busier then all hell with the race car!

I actually bought the seat about two months ago but didn't have the mounts to mount it correctly, so we did some custom fab using both recaro and sparco parts and made one hell of a strong mount that sits further back as well as much lower then stock.

I'm 6'6" 1/6, lucky the subaru is a pretty tall car so I have a lot of head room and even stock, I have good leg room, but I wanted a custom seat so that I could sit even lower and have even more leg room. When you change seats it feels like changing your car... Makes the car feel soooooo much better it's not even funny.

Switching from the stock POS seats, the car feels like I changed every suspension component and has much less felt body roll, it's really amazing what a seat can do.

Now I have a set of alacantera V5 STi seats (the JDM Recaro Sports) for sale including all mounting hardware for $600 for the pair, which is cheaper then dirt for such great seats. They make the stock seats feel like absolute crap. Too bad I'm too big for them (height).

Pic of the V5 seats I'm selling (black/gray with red shoulder bolster)

Thats a really bad photo so the colors are a bit over exposed and washed out. It's next to a JDM recaro SRD and a stock 07 USDM STi seat on the right side. The V5 seat is MUCH more aggressive then the US seat and holds you in much better.

$600 for the pair if you're interested, I just want to get rid of them which is why I'm selling them so cheap. I wont go lower, and buy picks them up. Again, they bolt right in and can both be installed in less then 30mins. They sit a bit lower then stock and have much better bolsters to hold you in very securely. These seats will make your car feel like a brand new car, or as if you changed your suspension into coilovers, Im not making that up, ask anyone who has upgraded to these type of seats. They fit ANY subaru model past 1992. (not sure about the SVX though)

I normally don't buy stuff like this due to the economic state right now and am saving all I can, but I can justify the purchase due to a back problem that I have, the stock seats kill my back, so I need some really supportive sport seats that have enough lower and upper back support so that I'm comfortable on long drives. I love how Sparcos have fully adjustable pads that you can put anywhere you want for support, I love the EVO 2. (I weigh like 240 but am really tall, the EVO 2 is made for people over 200lbs, and the regular EVO is made for thinner folks.

I got it for Modacar in Livermore because they had it in stock and for a great price so I didnt have to pay shipping. I think I paid like $500 for it if I remember correctly, rails will cost you another $200 or so... Keep in mind I got mine on a really big discount, I think they go for $700 or so each just bare seat, rails are seperate.

Just buy my V5 seats and have GREAT seats (they are Recaro Sports in STi cloth/alacantara), you can't beat that price for such great seats.

Ah, I could see the problem then.

The EVO 2's are great, I've been wanting them for a long time now but I could never find a great deal on them until that day when I happened to come into that shop and see it.

I can't wait to install it.
