You are gonna want to turn these up.

Not enough low end grunt on the F40 sound...
I'd bet the BRM is actually faster
600HP @ 12000 RPM
The car weighed 1600LBS wet.
Scary fast with drum brakes

oh and the sound from a b-17 when flying in the belly turret is f-ing bad ***......
the only reason I did not enjoy it more is we were spreading my dad and moms ashes.

This thing is like two flat-8's piled on top of each-other. I imagine it's a narrow-angle V a lot like VW's VR engines. So you could also look at it as two V8's sharing a crank, with the traditional top of each V8 facing horizontally outward.
Anyway, I think the exhaust ports are under the black strips just inboard of the valve covers. You can see the oil pumps between the intake ports too. What a wild and crazy power plant...
EDIT: Here's a cool view that shows port placement a little better:
BRM H16
Another EDIT: OH MY FOAMING GOAT - it's two flat 8's, literally, with dual crankshafts gear driving a common output shaft. WTF???

I was on the flight-line as B-52s did touch-and-go drills. That's some noise right there.
here's one landing to have sample of it.
